Palmers Wine Store, independent wine merchants since 1794, is our suggested drinks provider.  Palmers can provide carefully chosen mixed cases of wines, bottled real ales and spirits, delivered to the house.  Mention Springfield to claim a 10% discount on a mixed case of 12.  Wine tastings available on request

The Taunton outlet of COOK deliver frozen meals that look and taste homemade, taking the hassle out of catering.

Brendon has been doing fossil walks along the Lyme coast for many years. He does regular trips that you can just join or he will also do a bespoke tour for a larger group.

Mark Hix’ Oyster & Fish House restaurant is superb and within a 10minute walk from the house. Fresh seasonal ingredients well cooked and presented in a venue overlooking the sweeping Lyme Bay. No other seafood restaurant can match it.

River Cottage cookery school is but 2 miles away while the canteen is only 10min drive. Everything they do is worth trying.

The Town Mill bakery is a fave. Open in the summer for dinner, lunch/breakie otherwise.

Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock is worth a visit, certainly preceeded by a cliff top walk.

After going to the lively markets or great vintage shops of market town Bridport, there is a great eating option in The Bull which is well known for its food.

Harry May’s Fishing trips from the Cobb are great fun. With many fish on offer in either a short Lyme Bay trip or a longer line fishing jaunt.
